Embraer and the UK Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade (BIST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the Farnborough International Airshow.
Building on decades of cooperation between Embraer and the United Kingdom, the initiative aims to deepen collaboration in strategic areas including research and development, innovation, aviation capabilities and supply chain development, further strengthening ties between Embraer and the UK aerospace ecosystem.
Embraer has maintained a strong presence in the UK for more than 45 years, supplying commercial and defense aircraft, developing research and development projects, and partnering with British suppliers whose technologies contribute to the competitiveness of its products and services worldwide.
Complementing the successful collaboration already established with UK Export Finance (UKEF) which contributed to an increase in the number of Embraer’s UK suppliers and almost doubled their volume of business with UK suppliers, the MoU with BIST creates a framework for regular engagement between Embraer and UK stakeholders. It will help identify new opportunities, including additional partnerships in innovation, engineering and supply chain, as well as other projects that will strengthen economic value for both parties.
