Denmark Acquires More Naval Strike Missiles

by EDI Editorial Staff

KONGSBERG has signed a contract to deliver more Naval Strike Missiles (NSM) to Denmark, to strengthen the Scandinavian country’s coastal defence.

The contract is worth about NOK 400 million for the delivery of an undisclosed number of NSM missiles. The sale is structured as a government-to-government sale between the procurement agencies of Norway and Denmark, FMA and DALO.

Denmark acquired the coastal artillery system in 2025, making it the fifth user country in NATO, alongside Poland, the US, Romania and Latvia. It has also, separately, ordered NSM missiles for its frigates.

The coastal defence system consists of KONGSBERG’s advanced fire control system, the NSM missile and launch pads.
