KNDS and TYTAN Technologies are expanding their existing collaboration in drone defense for military land systems and operational solutions. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on February 6, 2026, by Balázs Nagy, CEO and Co-founder of TYTAN, and Mathias Nöhl, Executive Vice President for Digitalization at KNDS, in the presence of Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Katherina Reiche.
The collaboration follows the successful integration of TYTAN’s kinetic Interceptor-S into the compartment box of the BOXER RCT30. The fully integrated system was showcased during the Bundeswehr’s Experimentalserie Land in Munster/Bergen in fall 2025. KNDS and TYTAN now commit to field solutions to protect KNDS land systems and their crews from unmanned aerial threats using TYTAN’s counter drone-on-drone technology.
The cooperation will also cover joint development of a new European standard for mobile UAS launch solutions and further development of C-UAS technologies for military base protection and frontline air defence.
Balázs Nagy stated that two companies with a clear track record of battle-proven systems are joining forces to set the standard in C-UAS systems, expressing strong belief in the synergy of innovation at scale in partnership with a strong industrial partner. Mathias Nöhl added that as a leading European provider of land systems, KNDS believes agile and innovative companies like TYTAN are an ideal fit to drive integration of new solutions and offer soldiers the best possible systems.
Katherina Reiche emphasized that drones are enablers as dual-use systems, protecting critical infrastructure while contributing to defence against hostile aerial threats. She noted that this technology is shaped by real operations and experience from the field, including Ukraine, and by the willingness to take responsibility and accept risk.
