Safran Electronics & Defense has signed a contract with a European Country for the delivery of its Skyjacker Advanced counter-drone solution, reinforcing the country’s capabilities to protect critical infrastructure, strategic sites and military assets against evolving unmanned aerial threats.
Designed around a modular and scalable architecture, Skyjacker Advanced combines a command-and-control system with the ability to integrate a wide range of detection and identification sensors and effectors. This open architecture enables seamless integration into existing defense networks and across multiple platforms, providing armed forces with a flexible and adaptable counter-drone capability.
Leveraging advanced GNSS spoofing technology, Skyjacker is in particular capable of neutralizing hostile swarm drones by altering their trajectory through the simulation of navigation signals.
“We are proud to contribute to technological and defense sovereignty by delivering a solution that offers operational effectiveness, scalability, resilience, and open architecture. This contract confirms our role as a leading provider of critical counter-drone equipment, strengthening Europe’s defense capabilities”, said Alexandre Ziegler, Head of Defense Global Business Unit at Safran Electronics & Defense.
