Network Innovations’ Netherlands office has been selected to deliver two contracts providing secure, scalable and cost-effective communications across a fleet of vessels operated by Rijkswaterstaat , part of the Dutch government under the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. The awards cover both operational and welfare communications, with a strong emphasis on reliable vessel-to-vessel and vessel-to-shore connectivity.
The customer required robust and flexible connectivity across its fleet, along with the ability to scale services in line with changing fleet size and usage demands. Equally important was the need for a trusted technology integration partner with proven expertise in offshore connectivity and hybrid networking, strong credentials in information security, including ISO 27001 certification and a collaborative approach to migration, optimisation and long-term support.
To meet these requirements, initial site surveys were conducted on a subset of vessels before extending deployment across the wider fleet. The solution integrates Network Innovations’ Argus Multi-Path solution based on LEO satellite connectivity to deliver resilient and consistent connectivity across fourteen vessels, ensuring continuous communications for both operational and welfare use cases.
Inge Broods , Vice President Sales Europe at Network Innovations, commented, “This award reflects our commitment to delivering resilient communications that our customers can rely on every day. By combining hybrid networking technologies with our integration expertise, we’ve delivered a solution designed for performance, scale, and security. We’re proud to support this critical fleet with connectivity that is both reliable and built for long-term flexibility.”
